On Friday morning, at the 'Giuseppe Perotti' Barracks in Rome, headquarters of the Army's Transmission Command in Rome, the 71st Anniversary of the establishment of the Transmission Corps. The ceremony, presided over by Parachutist General Massimo Scala, Commander of the Terrestrial Operational Support Forces (SUPPORT FOTER), emphasised the core principles of the Armed Force: training, technology and values.
During the event, guests witnessed a 'tactical act' that exemplified the advanced capabilities of the Transmission Force. Key skills, from speciality Telematics to Electronic Warfare, including cyber capability, were demonstrated in support of the operations of a special forces detachment of the 185th Reconnaissance and Target Acquisition Regiment Folgore.
In memory of the 150th anniversary of Guglielmo Marconi's birthan Archonian radio station was activated by representatives of theItalian Amateur Radio Association (ARI). This station reproduced the experiments conducted in 1903 by the Regia Marina's 'Monte Mario' coastal radio station in Romeconcluding with an audio message of good wishes from Princess Elettra Marconi Giovannelli, the scientist's daughter.
