The 'Peloritani' fanfare and the eagerly awaited final parade of the rally

Among the most impressive events is the programme of the 'Peloritani' fanfare will animate Monday 17 March with a series of itinerant concerts between Piazza Marconi, Porta Mazara, Piazza Matteotti and the Mother Church, until the grand finale in front of the theatre. A symbolic anticipation of the bersaglieresco spirit that will invade Marsala.

The highlight will be held Sunday 11 Maywith the traditional Bersaglieri parade along a route that will touch symbolic places in the centre: from Francesco Pizzo Square a Via Mazzini, from People's Square until Boeo waterfrontwith a final salute to the Tribuna d'Onore in Piazza della Vittoria. To close, civil and military commemorations will pay tribute to the Honourable Benedetto Cottone, to the victims of the 11 May 1943 bombing and to Giuseppe Garibaldi, before thelowering the flag at the Monument to the Thousand.

The wind of history blows strong

Framing the celebrations is an evocative text that captures the soul of bersaglierismo: "Maiora Viribus Audere - To dare more, one can. One must." This is the central verse of the poem composed by Vito Cirinesiwho was able to put into words the energy of a running people, propelled by the wind, fanfares and memory. Every feather is a hope, every step a choice: a silent pride, which does not impose itself but gives itself, as the author writes.

Marsala, city of salt, wind and the Thousand, is thus preparing to become the capital of bersaglierismo, welcoming thousands of visitors in an embrace of brotherhood, identity and passion.
