At the Parachute Training Centre of Folgore Parachute Brigadea significant cooperation activity with a delegation from the 31st Parachute Regiment of the 1st Parachute Brigade of the German Armed Forces Rapid Reaction Division. The aim of the meeting was to verify the compatibility between the EPC-C parachute, supplied to the 'Folgore', and theGerman Air Force A400M aircraft.
The activity is part of the interoperability programmes between the air forces of allied countries, with particular reference to the Airborne Community, a community of which the Folgore has been a member for several years. Thanks to exchanges of training and logistic experience, both in NATO which EATC (European Air Transportation Command)the air forces of the different countries are constantly improving their ability to work in synergy.
During the meeting, the technical verification of the compatibility of the EPC-C parachute with the A400M was successfully performed, laying the foundations for the future certification that will allow Italian paratroopers to be airdropped by German aircraft.
