On Friday morning, at the "Giuseppe Perotti" Barracks in Rome, headquarters of the Army Transmission Command in Rome, the 71st Anniversary of the establishment of the Transmission Corps was celebrated. The ceremony, presided over by General of the Army Corps Paratrooper Massimo Scala, Commander of the Land Operational Support Forces (FOTER di SUPPORTO), emphasized the fundamental principles of the Armed Force: training, technology, and values.

During the event, guests witnessed a "tactical act" that exemplified the advanced capabilities of the Transmission Corps. Key skills were showcased, from the Telematics specialty to Electronic Warfare, including cyber capability, in support of the operations of a special forces detachment of the 185th Reconnaissance and Target Acquisition Regiment Folgore.

In memory of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Guglielmo Marconi, an arconian radio station was activated by representatives of the Italian Radio Amateurs Association (ARI). This station reproduced the experiments conducted in 1903 by the coastal radio station of the Royal Navy at "Monte Mario" in Rome, concluding with an audio message of good wishes from Princess Elettra Marconi Giovannelli, daughter of the scientist.

The Transmission Corps continues to ensure the Commanders and Units of the Army the integrity and timeliness of the information necessary for Command and Control. It ensures the functionality of technologically advanced communication systems and services, as well as guaranteeing freedom of maneuver in the cyber domain.

The professionalism and high operational competence of the Army's transmitters make the Transmission Corps an indispensable component of the Armed Force. Combining history and innovation, this Corps continues to represent a fundamental pillar in the landscape of Italian military capabilities, maintaining a crucial role in modern and future operations.

The celebration of the 71st Anniversary of the Transmission Corps was an occasion to remember the glorious past and look to the future with confidence, based on a solid foundation of training, technology, and values. The Transmission Corps, with its continuous evolution and adaptation to new technological challenges, remains a symbol of excellence and innovation within the Italian Armed Forces.
