Tactical Information Brigade: General Pontiroli Takes Over from Paratrooper General Vizzuso

In the presence of the highest military, civil, and religious authorities of the cities of Anzio and Nettuno, Brigadier General Carmine Vizzuso officially handed over command to his peer Ettore Pontiroli. Presiding over the event was the Commander of the Land Operational Forces, Army Corps General Massimo Scala, thus testifying to the strategic importance of the Brigade within the Italian Army.

The ceremony saw the War Flag of the 13th HUMINT Regiment (Human Intelligence) on display, a symbol of the unit's valor and dedication, recently awarded the Army Gold Cross of Merit. General Pontiroli assumes command at a time of particular transformation for the Armed Forces, where information warfare, cyber intelligence, and multidomain operations represent new frontiers to explore and consolidate. His mission will therefore be oriented not only towards maintaining the standards of excellence already achieved but also towards projecting the Brigade towards operational models increasingly integrated with other Defense components.

In his concluding speech, General Massimo Scala paid tribute to the work carried out by General Vizzuso, highlighting his professionalism, constant commitment, and brilliant results achieved. At the same time, he extended sincere wishes of success to General Pontiroli at the helm of a unit now considered a fundamental pillar of the Army's tactical information system.
