Tomorrow in Pisa the 83rd Anniversary
Tomorrow the Paratroopers community will gather in Pisa to commemorate the epic of El Alamein, a battle that from October 23 to November 5, 1942 saw the Folgore enter History with the indomitable courage that still inspires generations of soldiers today.
The official ceremony for the 83rd anniversary will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Parachuting Training Center (CAPAR) in Pisa, at the historic “Gamerra” Barracks.
Morning Program
- 08:45 – Opening of the access gates to the barracks and welcoming of participants
- Following – Influx to the ceremony area; deployment of Units and Banners
- 11:00 – Start of the ceremony
- Following – Speeches by civil and military authorities
Useful Information
- Location: “Gamerra” Barracks, Via di Gello 138, Pisa
- Public access: from 08:45; it is advisable to arrive early for security checks.
- Parking: it is recommended to use the areas outside the barracks and plan for a short walk to the gates.
- Museum: after the ceremony, it will be possible to visit the Historical Museum of the Airborne Troops, inside the barracks, to retrace the history of the Paratroopers specialty from the Tarquinia School to today.
