Its operators are responsible for Force Protection aboard Italian military ships, with tasks ranging from controlling transits in risk areas to boarding suspicious vessels (VBSS). With rigorous training in Maritime Interdiction Operations (MIO), they are protagonists in boarding, inspection, and threat neutralization operations.
