Teulié, honor and future: the 100 days that prepare for life

In recent days, in the heart of the city of Milan, the Military School “Teulié” hosted an event full of history and significance: the Mak P 100 ceremony, which symbolically marks the 100 days that separate the final year students from the completion of their studies. A rite with a strong identity value that has its roots in the oldest traditions of Italian Military Schools and Academies.

As part of this occasion, the traditional “passing of the baton” took place between the “Fadini III” Course and the “Fumi III” Course. In a simple but meaningful gesture, the third-year students entrust their second-year colleagues with the responsibility of preserving the values, honor, and traditions of the Institute. This passage represents the culmination of the educational journey experienced within the School, a bridge between those about to take flight and those called to inherit its moral and cultural legacy.

The ceremony was held in the historic “Primo Tricolore” courtyard, a symbolic place of the Institute, and saw the participation of Army Corps General Carlo Lamanna, Commander of the Army Training, Specialization and Doctrine (COMFORDOT). In his speech, the General made a heartfelt appeal to the students: «Always act inspired by the ethical-value heritage and the teachings learned at the Teulié School». Words that echo as a warning and guide for the future military leadership.

Merit, form, dance: complete education

During the military ceremony, awards were given to students who excelled in academic achievements. This moment of recognition highlights one of the founding aspects of the educational mission of the Teulié School: the enhancement of merit, constant commitment, discipline, and integrity. It not only forms the future officer but also the conscious and responsible citizen.

The most worldly part of the Mak P 100 is represented by the traditional “Debutantes' Grand Ball”, included in the event since the post-war period. This elegant event, sponsored by the Municipality of Milan and the Lombardy Region, has become over time a true cultural and social highlight. During a refined gala evening, the students of the Military School, in historical uniforms, accompany the young women of the Setti Carraro College – a twinned institution – in their debut in society.

The evening takes place in an atmosphere of yesteryear: the young women wear white dresses while dancing with the cadets to the notes of Strauss, among polonaises, quadrilles, and waltzes. It is a moment that combines grace, style, and military discipline, showing the public a form of education that includes, in addition to academic and physical preparation, also the mastery of good manners and social skills.

This event, in addition to representing a moment of celebration, is also a celebration of the bond between the School and the territory. Every year it attracts representatives from the institutional, artistic, and media world, generating admiration for the composure, grace, and solemnity of the event. The Debutantes' Grand Ball is a living testimony of the Institution's ability to keep its traditions alive by adapting them to the times, offering young people a complete and integrated education.

A school looking forward: digital focus and future

Beyond the solemnity of tradition, the Teulié Military School continues to stand out for its ability to look forward. Alongside the established paths of the Classical and Scientific High School, from the next academic year 2025/2026, the new Scientific High School with a digital focus will be activated. This innovative course responds to the need to train students ready to face the challenges of an increasingly technological and interconnected society.

The new curriculum will integrate subjects such as computer science, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and data analysis, offering skills that are fundamental today in both military and civilian fields. The goal is twofold: on one hand, to consolidate the cultural and humanistic preparation typical of the scientific high school, on the other, to enhance the ability to understand and manage the digital and technological tools that will be central in the professions of tomorrow.

In this way, the Teulié Military School strengthens its role as an educational vanguard, capable of combining tradition and innovation. The Mak P 100, with its dual face – military and worldly – perfectly embodies this vision: a solid value base that projects itself with awareness and confidence into the future.

With the baton-passing ceremony, the students of the “Fadini III” Course not only close an important chapter of their lives but also hand over to the new recruits a mission: to carry forward with pride and responsibility the name of Teulié. A name that, for centuries, has been synonymous with discipline, culture, elegance, and a spirit of service.
