A week of intense training has recently concluded for the 183rd Paratrooper Regiment "Nembo". A training session that saw the paratroopers engage in offensive tactical activities, replicating a realistic combat environment, with the aim of refining and improving their skills in a warfighting scenario.
The training activity, coordinated by a tactical group command post, was also supported by a platoon of the 8th Paratrooper Engineer Regiment Folgore, which conducted, during the action, a breaching of passive obstacles, crucial elements in real combat scenarios. The collaboration between the two units allowed for the execution of complex maneuvers and effective coordination of actions in the field.
One of the most significant aspects of this training week was the use of cutting-edge simulation systems. Among these, interactive targets with knockdown silhouettes played a fundamental role in increasing the realism of the exercises, providing soldiers with immediate feedback on their actions and allowing for concrete training on combat tactics.
The training was not limited to offensive maneuvers alone but also included a test circuit to evaluate and improve the individual skills of the paratroopers in various critical areas, including the use of radio equipment, military combat method (MCM), battlefield first aid and BLS (Basic Life Support), procedures for requesting fire support and E-CAS (Emergency-Close Air Support), explosive ordnance recognition, and C-IED (Counter-Improvised Explosive Device) procedures.
The recent training week for the 183rd Paratrooper Regiment "Nembo" has strengthened and verified the capabilities of the participating units, highlighting the importance of continuous and thorough training, a crucial element for maintaining the high operational readiness that is a peculiar characteristic of the Paratroopers and the Army soldiers.
