Exploiting regional insecurities and the common fear of isolation in a blazing Middle Eastern quadrant, Turkey has managed to unite around its own national interests three powers with highly complementary profiles. The agreement systematizes diverse and powerful resources: the petrodollars and financial liquidity of Riyadh, the strategic depth and nuclear arsenal of Pakistan, and, at the operational summit, the conventional force of the second-largest army in the Atlantic Alliance (namely, the Turkish one).

Exploiting the advantages of each ally to maximize power projection
