Forty new engineers for the 8th Engineer Regiment battalion of the 'Folgore' Parachute Brigade

In Legnago, at the headquarters of the8th Parachute Engineer Regiment Folgore, a ceremony was held to present the department's humerus to 40 new paratroopers. The prestigious symbol was conferred by the regimental commander, Colonel Daniele D'Ambrogiomarking the official entry of the newly assigned soldiers into the large family of the Engineer Corps.

The new combatants, recruited from among permanent service volunteers and volunteers on a four-year fixed-term contract, will become part of a new battalion-level unit. This training is designed to develop combat capabilities in underground environments, an increasingly important strategic area in modern military operations.

The 8th Regiment, a true emblem of excellence, combines the unique skills of the combat fighters with the high level of preparation of the paratroopers. This combination, built on the centrality of man, advanced training, technological innovation and corps values, is the engine that enables the unit to face and overcome the toughest challenges.

The ceremony was attended by the banners of the main associations: the National Association of Italian Paratroopers (ANPDI) of the Triveneto, the National Association of Engineers and Transmitters (ANGET) and the National Guastatori Group (GNG). Their presence underlined the strong link between tradition, innovation and esprit de corps that animates the 8th Regiment.

This important moment marks the beginning of a new chapter for the newly assigned, ready to put themselves at the service of the Folgore Parachute Brigade and the country, in a role that combines courage, competence and dedication. With the department's humerus on their chests, the new paratroopers prepare to face future challenges, inspired by the history and values of one of the most prestigious units of the Italian Armed Forces.
