The final phase of the first year of training for Officer Cadets of the 207° corso “Fermezza” at the Modena Military Academy has concluded at the Monti di Sant’Andrea training area, at the Infantry School in Cesano.
The activity was part of the “Una Acies 2026” training campaign. Army Training, Specialization and Doctrine Command commander Lieutenant General Antonello Vespaziani was present.
The cadets took part in activities designed to develop squad command capabilities in large-scale operations. Training covered the planning and employment of various assets and units in a combat environment.
Technology and simulation in the exercise
The training phase focused on the use of technological systems and advanced simulation tools. Drones and digital Command and Control systems were also employed.
Through the TC2 system, future commanders were able to practice digital planning with a continuously updated local operational picture. Activities took place in a complex scenario designed to replicate realistic operational conditions.
Visits to specialized units
The program included visits to several Army organizations. The cadets visited the Comando Artiglieria Controaerei in Sabaudia and the 6° Reggimento Genio Pionieri in Rome.
Training also involved the 7° Reggimento Difesa CBRN and CEPOLISPE, the Centro Polifunzionale di Sperimentazione, in Montelibretti. The cadets also attended a demonstration of the assets and capabilities of the 9° Reggimento Sicurezza Cibernetica “Rombo”.
The conclusion of “Una Acies 2026” thus marked the end of the final training phase scheduled for the first year of the 207° corso “Fermezza”.
