In the preceding days, there were rumors about the presence of the CIA to coordinate a possible action by the special forces. During the night, helicopters linked to the 160th SOAR “Night Stalkers” (Special Operations Aviation Regiment) reportedly entered Venezuelan territory to enable the extraction of Nicolás Maduro and his wife by Delta Force operators, then transferred out of the country, in line with Trump's announcement.
