The anticipated event Roma Sport XXIVh is approaching, the multidisciplinary sports event that on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September 2025 will enliven the Vallelunga Circuit with two days of competitions, entertainment, and passion. Now in its fifth edition, the event confirms its unique character: 24 hours of non-stop sports open to citizens, families, athletes, and institutions, with a rich program ranging from cycling to running, from fitness to pickleball, and including paralympic and youth activities.

Among the absolute protagonists will be the Italian Army, present with numerous experiential activities that will allow the public to experience up close the training and values of the Armed Forces. Great anticipation especially for the paratroopers of the “Folgore” Brigade, who will guide visitors through a gymnastic course dedicated to military fitness: a testing ground that reproduces, in a sporting and educational form, some of the physical challenges typical of military training.
La Folgore: symbol of courage and determination
The presence of the Folgore, a historic unit of the Army and a reference point for the Italian paratrooper infantry, gives a special meaning to Roma Sport XXIVh. Born during World War II and today engaged in international missions and security operations on national territory, the Brigade represents an example of discipline, team spirit, and the ability to overcome limits, values that fully coincide with the spirit of the sports event.
The public will be able to meet the soldiers in camouflage up close, discovering not only the techniques of the Military Combat Method, but also the importance of physical and mental preparation that accompanies every mission. The goal is twofold: to bring citizens closer to the reality of the Armed Forces and to convey a universal message of resilience, sacrifice, and cohesion.
Sport and shared values
The sponsorship of the Italian Army at Roma Sport XXIVh highlights how sports and military institutions share the same matrix of values: discipline as the basis of training, constant commitment to achieving goals, teamwork as a driving force, sacrifice as the key to overcoming fatigue and one's limits.
Alongside the Folgore, visitors will also be able to try their hand at an artificial climbing wall or discover the secrets of military fitness, immersing themselves in an educational and fun experience that combines sports tradition with military culture.

Founded in 2021 on the initiative of Giancarlo Fisichella and Emiliano Cantagallo, Roma Sport XXIVh has evolved from an endurance cycling competition on track to a true multidisciplinary gala. Today it includes disciplines such as cycling, running, climbing, paralympic activities, pickleball, and entertainment for children and families.
The event will feature spectacular challenges such as the Roma Cycling XXIVh, the 24-hour endurance for individual cyclists and teams; the Roma Running XXIVh, which takes place on the prestigious Vallelunga circuit; the paralympic cycling trials, valid for the Lazio Regional Championship and the Italian Cup; and even the unique Roma Brompton XXIVh, with the world championship of the famous folding bicycles.
There is also space for the younger ones, with the Minifondo Roma XXIVh, a free event dedicated to children aged 4 to 16, and emerging disciplines like pickleball, increasingly popular in Italy as well.
Folgore and sports, a winning combination
The Italian Army has always enthusiastically participated in sports events, recognizing in sports a tool for individual and collective growth. The presence of the Folgore at Roma Sport XXIVh therefore represents not only a moment of meeting with citizens but also an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of the link between military preparation and sports culture, both founded on passion, commitment, and solidarity.
In a weekend that promises to turn into a great celebration of international sports, the contribution of the Folgore will offer visitors the opportunity to experience firsthand what distinguishes Italian paratroopers: strength, determination, esprit de corps, and national pride.
The appointment is set: Vallelunga Circuit, 27-28 September 2025. Two days of sports, inclusion, and shared values. With the Folgore at the forefront.
