On Sunday 20 September 2026, Jesolo celebrated the first anniversary of the Jesolo Paratroopers Unit, a reality affiliated with the Lower Piave Paratroopers Section of ANPd'I.

The event took place in Matteotti Square, in front of the entrance to the Church of San Giovanni Battista, where the municipal administration welcomed the participants to the commemorative day.

The city's greetings

Representing the Municipality was the Mayor of Jesolo Cristofer De Zotti, who in his speech emphasized the activities carried out by the paratroopers in the Jesolo area.

The commemoration represented not only a celebratory moment, but also an opportunity to highlight the relationship built in this first year between the Unit, the city, and the local associative fabric.

Also present the National Presidency of ANPd'I

The ceremony was attended by the General Secretary of ANPd'I, Gen. Par. Enrico Pollini, who brought greetings from the National Presidency.

In his speech, the General emphasized the work carried out by the Lower Piave Section and the Jesolo Unit, highlighting the commitment to make the Association known and to involve new members in the local paratrooper reality.

Also present was the National Councillor of the 3rd Group, Par. Roberto Dariol, who during the social lunch thanked the members of the Jesolo Unit and the Lower Piave Section for the activities carried out during the year.

The day was also attended by representatives of the ANPd'I Sections of Portogruaro and Santa Lucia di Piave.

War veterans' and military associations

There was also significant participation from war veterans' and military associations in the area.

Among those present were the President of the Committee for Understanding of War Veterans' and Military Associations, Commendatore Artilleryman Franco Pavan, and the Secretary of the Committee, Bersagliere Cav. Antonio Bozzo.

Hosting the event were the President of the Lower Piave Paratroopers Section, Par. Mauro Montagner, and the Trustee of the Jesolo Unit, Par. Maurizio Barin.

A year of activities and territorial establishment

The first anniversary marks a significant milestone for a reality born only a year ago but already embedded in the civic associative fabric.

The presence of local authorities, the national structure of ANPd'I, nearby sections, and military associations testifies to the will to consolidate the Jesolo Unit and keep its activities alive in the tradition of paratroopers.

For ANPd'I, the establishment of units and sections in the territory continues indeed to represent one of the main tools for passing down the memory, values, and sense of belonging that characterize the community of Italian paratroopers.
