At the behest of the Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto, the Chief of Defense Staff, General Luciano Portolano, will participate in the coming hours in a series of talks in the United States with military representatives of the nations that, yesterday, took part in the international summit on the Ukrainian crisis.

The meeting's agenda includes a focus on strategic planning and the definition of concrete measures to provide Kyiv with solid security tools. These tools are particularly relevant both in the event of a ceasefire and in the case of a future peace process, paving the way for lasting stabilization of the region.

The Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto emphasized how “Italy's participation in this table confirms our country's willingness to contribute, together with allies and international partners, to the stability and security of Europe”.

The presence of General Portolano is not just a formal act, but a true operational contribution of Italy within the international coordination. A participation that aims to support peace paths, strengthen collective security, and consolidate our country's role in the main global strategic dossiers.
