From 1 to 4 October, the Esercito Italiano took part in the 37th edition of Romics, held at the Fiera di Roma.
In a 450-square-meter exhibition space, visitors learned about technological developments, training and career opportunities in the military.
Vehicles and specialist systems
The area, organized by the Comando Territoriale Nazionale dell’Esercito, welcomed young people and adults over the weekend. Visitors tested themselves on the Alpine troops’ climbing wall.
Among the systems on display was a robotic reconnaissance dog, intended for use in contaminated environments for activities related to public safety and defense.
Also on display were a VTLM “Lince” and a Cougar, tactical vehicles used by the Esercito Italiano in operational activities.
Simulators, cartography and recruitment
With music from Radio Esercito, visitors tried motorcycle and helicopter flight simulators. The initiative also showcased several specialties of the Armed Forces.
These included the profession of cartographers at the Istituto Geografico Militare, with information on their respective activities.
At the information point, Esercito Italiano personnel described their daily commitment to serving the public. Recruitment opportunities were also presented to young people and families.
