Dragon 1-2025: 'Fire' for the 185th Parachute Artillery Folgore

The fire drill called 'Drago 1-2025', organised by the 185th Parachute Artillery Regiment Folgore. This activity, carried out annually, represents an important preparation opportunity for the Yellow Devils, allowing them to refine and improve strategies, techniques, operational procedures and indirect fire support capabilities to the Brigata Folgore in advanced combat contexts.

Function of the 185th Parachute Artillery Regiment

The 185th Parachute Artillery Regiment provides indirect fire support to the units of the Folgore Parachute Brigade. Assets of the 3rd Targeting Support Regiment were also integrated with RAVEN drones for field observation and CH47F helicopters of the 1st AVES Regiment Antaresused for hovering mortars and repositioning observer teams.

The final phase was attended by the Commander of the Folgore Parachute Brigade, Brigadier General Federico Bernacca, who spoke with the personnel present, expressing his appreciation for the excellent training achieved.

The 185th Parachute Artillery Regiment

Reconstituted in Bracciano on 1 July 2013, the 185th Parachute Artillery Regiment is the fire support unit of the Folgore Parachute Brigade. Thanks to the advanced training of its specialists in the use of artillery, the unit contributes to keeping the Brigade among the leading forces of the Italian Army, guaranteeing reactivity and immediate intervention capability, even in emergency situations and with reduced timelines, providing support in complex and multi-scenario operations.
