Aviazione dell’Esercito: Belladonna takes command

A change-of-command ceremony was held at the “Chelotti” barracks for the Aviazione dell’Esercito (AVES). Major General Massimiliano Belladonna succeeded his counterpart, Salvatore Annigliato.

The event was chaired by Lieutenant General Lorenzo D’Addario, commander of the Army’s Forze Operative Terrestri.

Political, civilian, military and religious authorities from the local area attended. Representatives of the Associazione Nazionale Aviazione dell’Esercito, veterans’ associations and aerospace industry companies also took part.

Annigliato leaves after two and a half years

Major General Salvatore Annigliato concluded his tenure at the helm of AVES after two and a half years. In his farewell remarks, he thanked military and civilian personnel for their commitment, professionalism and passion.

Annigliato recalled the support provided by Aviazione dell’Esercito, through its air component, to the Armed Force and the country. He also credited the results achieved to the collective work and cohesion of the personnel.

The outgoing commander described the assignment as one of the most significant experiences of his professional and personal life. He emphasized that the personnel are the strength of the branch.

D’Addario underscores command responsibilities

In his remarks, Lorenzo D’Addario expressed satisfaction with the milestones achieved by Aviazione dell’Esercito. He thanked Annigliato for his leadership of AVES and for involving personnel in carrying out the mission.

Addressing General Belladonna, D’Addario wished him satisfaction in his new assignment. He concluded by noting that, in the current geopolitical environment—constantly evolving and increasingly complex—leading AVES is both a privilege and a responsibility.
