On October 5, a partnership agreement was signed at the Historical Library of the Army General Staff between the National Association of Young Innovators (ANGI) and the Comando Valutazione e Integrazione dell’Esercito (COMVIE).
The agreement was signed by ANGI President Gabriele Ferrieri and COMVIE Commander Lt. Gen. Francesco Olla. The association is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to innovation, while the Command is responsible for training simulation, integration, and experimentation.
A network dedicated to innovation
ANGI aims to establish itself in Italy and abroad as a reference point in the innovation sector, promoting its various applications. Its activities also cover culture, training, and new technologies.
The association also seeks cross-sector collaboration among private entities, schools, universities, companies, trade associations, and institutions, both national and international.
Potential joint projects
According to the Army, the evolution of operational scenarios and emerging and disruptive technologies (EDTs) makes the availability of capabilities and facilities dedicated to experimentation and evaluation increasingly important.
These activities may also involve the potential subsequent integration of new solutions in support of Army operational units. The work also concerns the development of new operational concepts and the integration and interoperability of command-and-control systems.
Within this framework, the agreement between COMVIE, the point of contact for the Stato Maggiore dell’Esercito, and ANGI paves the way for collaboration and the potential implementation of joint projects. The agreement forms part of activities aimed at modernizing the land forces.
