In June 2025, personnel serving in the Army, Navy, and Air Force will receive a particularly rich and detailed paycheck. Several factors contribute to this: from the reduction of the tax wedge to contractual back pay, including the salary adjustment provided by the 2022-2024 contract renewal. At a time when institutional platforms like NoiPA have not yet made the details of the salary items visible, here is a clear guide to navigate.
New Salary Tables: How Much the Base Salary Increases
Starting in June, the paycheck will for the first time reflect the adjustment of the tabular salary introduced by the contractual renewal, published in the Official Gazette on April 18, 2025. The increase varies based on rank, with increments ranging from 115 euros gross per month for a Chief Graduate to 154.89 euros for a Captain. The pensionable allowance is also adjusted, with monthly increases of up to about 50 euros.
However, be aware: part of the increases was already in the paycheck in the form of:
- Contractual vacation allowance (0.5% of the gross salary),
- Advance on renewal (3.35% of the gross salary), paid monthly in 2025.
For example, if a military member is entitled to a net increase of 100 euros, only 60 will actually be visible in June, as the remaining 40 euros have already been received in previous months.

Extraordinary Pay Slip: What to Expect from Back Pay
In addition to the ordinary paycheck, an extraordinary pay slip dedicated to contractual back pay will be issued in June. However, the years 2022 and 2023 do not foresee salary back pay because they are already covered by the contractual vacation allowance.
For 2024 and the first five months of 2025, however, the missing amounts compared to the new table are due. Returning to the example of a military member with a net base salary of 2,000 euros, which with the adjustment reaches 2,100 euros:
- They already received 520 euros in December 2023 as an advance,
- They received 2,040 euros net from January to May 2025,
- They will receive another 60 euros net monthly from June.
Estimated total back pay: about 1,080 euros (780 euros for 2024 and 300 euros for 2025).
The extraordinary pay slip will also include:
- Back pay on the daily pay of the Troop (from April 1, 2022),
- Operational employment allowance (from January 1, 2024),
- Allowances provided by the Military Organization Code, art. 1801, effective April 2022.
However, back pay related to accessory allowances (night shifts, shifts, etc.) cannot yet be paid as the activation of codes by NoiPA is awaited.
Tax Wedge Cut: Increases and Back Pay for Low to Middle Incomes
Thanks to the 2025 Budget Law, the effects of the tax wedge cut are also applied in the paycheck:
- For incomes up to 20,000 euros gross, a supplementary treatment is received, varying from 4.8% to 7.1% of the gross salary,
- For incomes up to 32,000 euros, there is an increase in the employee work deduction up to 1,000 euros annually.
Examples:
- With an annual income of 15,000 euros, 61.55 euros net per month and 307 euros in back pay are due.
- With an annual income of 33,000 euros, 72.92 euros per month and 364 euros in back pay are received.

Above 40,000 euros, however, the tax benefit is nullified.

In Summary: What Arrives in June?
In June 2025, a member of the Armed Forces might receive:
- Ordinary salary with tabular adjustment and tax wedge,
- Extraordinary pay slip with 2024-2025 back pay and retroactive allowances,
- Tax benefits deriving from the new employee work legislation.
The net figures vary by rank, seniority, operational assignments, and income level, but on average range from 100 to 300 euros net more in the ordinary paycheck, plus back pay up to over 1,000 euros one-time.
Conclusion
The June salary represents an important moment for the economic recognition of military personnel. However, it is essential to carefully read the salary items to fully understand the dynamics of the amounts received. Further news is expected in the coming months, particularly regarding accessory allowances.
