In recent days, the Italian Army took part in the side events of the 13th round of the World Rally Championship, held in Sardinia. The international event drew thousands of enthusiasts, athletes and industry professionals from around the world.
The Army set up an exhibition and promotional area dedicated to vehicles, equipment and activities. Visitors were also able to receive information on training and career opportunities for young people.
The recruitment Info Point
At the Army Info Point, an Infoteam from the Brigata Meccanizzata “Sassari”, coordinated by qualified personnel from the Comando Militare Esercito Sardegna, outlined recruitment procedures.
Information covered competitive entry examinations for the Military Academies and career paths in the Army’s operational and technical fields.
A dedicated area was also reserved for “Rivista Militare”, the Italian Army’s historic publication. The corner allowed visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the Army.
The VTLM “LINCE” on display
The static display featured equipment and individual gear used by Army personnel. The exhibition generated particular interest among younger visitors.
The vehicles on display included the VTLM “LINCE”, a Light Multirole Tactical Vehicle. The Army employs it across the national territory and in international missions and operations.
The Army’s participation concluded during the awards ceremony with a performance by the Banda Musicale della Brigata “Sassari”. The ensemble performed the national anthems of the driver who won the World Championship round and of the manufacturer that finished in first place, as well as presenting a musical repertoire to the public.
