The Live Exercise (Livex) for snipers, organised and conducted by the Carpegna Shooting Range (PU), has recently concluded 187th Parachute Regiment \u201cFolgore\u201d<\/a>The aim of the activity was to increase and consolidate the long-range shooting skills of the specialist components of the Parachute Brigade 'Folgore<\/a> and other units of the Italian Army.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A realistic training environment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The exercise took place in a complex operational environment, characterized by a high level of training realism, testing the technical and tactical capabilities of the snipers. The specialists of the 187th Regiment took part in the activity together with the nuclei of the 186th Parachute Regiment \u201cFolgore\u201d<\/a>of the 183rd Parachute Regiment \u201cNembo\u201d<\/a>of the Savoia Cavalry Regiment (3rd)<\/a>, of the8th Parachute Engineer Regiment \u201cFolgore\u201d<\/a>of the 3rd Alpine Regiment<\/a>, of the 66th Airmobile Infantry Regiment \u201cTrieste\u201d of the Airmobile Brigade \u201cFriuli\u201d and of the Lagunari Regiment \u201cSerenissima\u201d of the \u201cPozzuolo del Friuli\u201d Brigade<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advanced shooting techniques<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Italian Army snipers, highly specialized in long-range precision shooting techniques, tested their skills by operating with different types of weapons against targets located at progressive distances, both in day and night conditions. The activity required not only perfect technical mastery, but also high mental readiness and decision-making ability, essential for operating in high-intensity scenarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Victrix Scorpio V<\/em>like all Victrix rifles, it guarantees an accuracy of 1\/2 MOA at 100 metres, ensuring extremely accurate shots regardless of calibre and operating conditions.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Comparison and mutual growth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Each phase of the training represented an opportunity for comparison and mutual growth between the various nuclei involved, allowing the exchange of experiences, methodologies and best practices. The interaction between units with different specializations optimized the use of resources and improved the overall effectiveness of operational capabilities, strengthening cooperation between Army units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A step forward in training<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This exercise represents a further step forward in the improvement of precision shooting techniques, confirming the high level of preparation and versatility of the specialist forces of the Italian Army.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
