The event proved to be an important platform to discuss the current and future challenges the Mediterranean is facing in terms of security and defence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the seminar, critical issues such as the international security framework and the implications for defence industry development were explored in depth, with a focus on the European vision. General Masiello reiterated the importance of a shared strategy among EU countries to ensure effective management of security challenges in the Mediterranean region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>General Masiello and his French counterpart, <strong>General Pierre Schill<\/strong>They discussed the development axes of bilateral cooperation, aiming at increasing synergy and sharing of resources to effectively respond to new common security challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A special focus was devoted to a visit to the <strong>Section Technique de l'Arm\u00e9e de Terre - Technical Innovation Division of the French Army (STAT)<\/strong>where the Chiefs of Staff of Italy and France were able to update each other on operational commitments and the French army's modernisation plan. Innovation, treated as a key theme of the seminar, underlined the importance of continuous integration and development of military capabilities in response to increasingly complex global scenarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Italian-French cooperation proves to be a pillar for the stability of the Mediterranean, with the awareness that the strengthening of the European Union, in complementarity with NATO, is a crucial step to promote the values of peace, justice and freedom.
