L'Garda Air Show<\/a>one of the most spectacular and eagerly awaited events of the year, is about to take flight in Desenzano, on the shores of Lake Garda, from 16 to 18 May.<\/strong> The event, which will involve the Air Force and the 6th Ghedi Wing<\/a>is a unique opportunity to admire aerial acrobatics of the highest level and participate in a series of free cultural and educational initiatives. Below, we discover the detailed programme of the event and the exciting activities planned for all participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Programme of Cultural and Outreach Initiatives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Garda Air Show will not be limited only to aerobatic flights, but will also offer numerous cultural and popular activities, all with free admission. The first appointment is set for Friday 16 May<\/strong> at 16:00, when at Tedeschini Palace<\/strong> a conference dedicated to the history of aerobatics in Italy will take place. The meeting will be attended by aviation experts, including writer and historian Paolo Varriale<\/strong> e Roberto Bassi<\/strong>author of technical books on the world of aviation. There will also be a speech by the commander of the 6th Wing, Colonel Luca Giuseppe Vitaliti<\/strong>and the journalist Pino Di Feo<\/strong>who will moderate the meeting. During the conference, some former pilots of the Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale will share tales and flight experiences that have marked the history of our aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Saturday 17 May<\/strong>, at 17:00, the appointment is at theMilitary waterfront<\/strong> in Via Motta, where a free concert will take place, open to the public while places last. The acoustic trio of the 'The Musician'<\/strong>with Silvia Smaniotto<\/strong>, Andrea De Nardi<\/strong> e Mario Church<\/strong>, will give a musical performance that will contribute to creating a unique atmosphere ahead of the big acrobatic show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Historical Exhibition and Activities for the Public<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the lectures and concerts, the public can visit theIdroscalo<\/strong> and an impressive exhibition area set up in the historic hangars, in cooperation with the Idroscalo Committee. On display will be memorabilia from Francesco Agello<\/strong> e Dal Molin<\/strong>two Italian aviation pioneers, together with period photographs, original materials from the Schneider Cup<\/strong> and two faithful, non-flying reproductions of the iconic aircraft Macchi-Castoldi MC-72<\/strong> e Ansaldo SVA<\/strong>. This exhibition is a valuable opportunity to immerse oneself in the history of aviation and understand the technological and cultural evolution that led the Frecce Tricolori to become one of the world's most admired aerobatic patrols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Grand Finale: The Acrobatic Show<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sunday 18 May<\/strong>the long-awaited big moment: the grand finale<\/strong> with the acrobatic show<\/strong> over the Garda coastline. Despite the incident in Pantelleria, the show has been confirmed and promises to offer a unique thrill for all spectators. The Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale, famous for its extraordinary evolutions in the sky, will be accompanied by aircraft from the 6th Ghedi Wing, including the PA-200 Tornado<\/strong> and the F-35A Lightning II<\/strong>They will put on a breathtaking display. The skies of Desenzano will be transformed into a natural stage where our aviation pilots will display all their skill and precision, giving those present an experience that will remain in everyone's hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
