{"id":18009,"date":"2025-04-29T13:40:22","date_gmt":"2025-04-29T12:40:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brigatafolgore.net\/?p=18009"},"modified":"2025-05-07T11:32:26","modified_gmt":"2025-05-07T10:32:26","slug":"lultimo-saluto-al-generale-celentano-presso-lospedale-le-scotte-di-siena","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brigatafolgore.net\/en\/last-farewell-to-general-celentano-at-le-scotte-hospital-in-siena\/","title":{"rendered":"The last farewell to General Celentano at 'Le Scotte' hospital in Siena"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The body of the <strong>General Enrico Celentano<\/strong>, already <a href=\"https:\/\/brigatafolgore.net\/en\/eagle-1-the-legendary-commanders-of-the-folgore\/\">Commander of Folgore between 1997 and 1999<\/a>, who disappeared yesterday<a href=\"https:\/\/brigatafolgore.net\/en\/general-celentano-died-today-the-mans-last-leap-into-the-sky-folgore\/\"> 28 April 2025 at <strong>18:30<\/strong><\/a> after the flare-up of a long illness, will be displayed at the mortuary of the<strong>Le Scotte' hospital in Siena<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will be possible to pay homage from <strong>12 noon today, 29 April 2025<\/strong>until the end of the day tomorrow, <strong>30 April 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By express will of the family, <strong>the funeral will be held in a strictly private form<\/strong>with full respect for their confidentiality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was learnt from a Facebook post by the <strong>Retired General Sergio Fucito<\/strong>, historical face of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/brigatafolgore.net\/en\/186-folgore-parachute-regiment\/\">186th Parachute Regiment Folgore<\/a><\/strong>department that the <strong>General Celentano<\/strong>then <strong>Colonel<\/strong> had commanded between <strong>1992 and 1994<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout his career, General Celentano embodied the values of the Folgore: <strong>discipline, courage, loyalty<\/strong>. His figure remains indelible in the memory of those who had the honour of serving alongside him and of the entire Baschi Amaranto family of Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To him go our thoughts, and our proud salute, standing at attention, in a formal and disciplined manner, as True Parachutists: <strong>\"Blue skies, Herr General!\"<\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The mortal remains of General Enrico Celentano, former Commander of Folgore between 1997 and 1999, who passed away yesterday 28 April 2025 at 6.30 p.m. after the exacerbation of a long illness, will be on display at the mortuary of 'Le Scotte' hospital in Siena.
