The NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte<\/a>, recently concluded a visit to the United States, which focused on strengthening cooperation between NATO and the United States in preparation for the summit to be held in The Hague. During his visit, Rutte had high-level meetings with leading political and military figures, including President Donald Trump and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, at the Pentagon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upcoming summit in The Hague promises to be a crucial event for the future of NATO and transatlantic security. Rutte emphasised the need for a significant increase in defence investment by European allies and Canada to ensure a stronger NATO ready to respond to global challenges.
