Intensive training continues with the allied forces for the Folgore' Parachute Brigade. From 8 to 25 May, the Folgore took part in the multinational exercise '.Eager Lion 24" in Jordan, deploying the Savoia Cavalry Regiment (3rd) and the8th Parachute Engineer Regiment 'Folgore'. The units included a platoon of paratroopers, a JTAC team, two sniper teams and a platoon of paratroopers with search, breaching and demolition capabilities.
The 'Folgore' Brigade complex was integrated into a multinational Combined Joint Task Force (CJTF), together with units British, Jordanian, US and Saudi Arabianallowing an exchange of skills and tactics and improving interoperability between allied forces.
During the exercise, the CJTF faced a series of complex scenarios, aimed at countering an adversary capable of employing conventional and unconventional means. The training ended with a final tactical act, characterised by a Combined Arms approach.
Training activities included operations in urbanised areas, the employment of sharpshooters, reactions to UAV threats, and breaching and demolition activities. These modules allowed realistic combat situations to be simulated, enhancing the participants' operational capabilities.
The 'Eager Lion 24' exercise achieved its main objective: to increase interoperability between units of friendly and allied countries in a realistic training context.
