In a solemn video conference held at the Army Palace, the General of the Army Parachute Corps Carmine Masiello, Chief of Staff of the Italian Army, addressed a warm message of Happy Easter greetings to all Army personnel, highlighting the importance of their daily dedication to the military institution and the Italian Republic. General Masiello, through the Corps Commanders and Non-Commissioned Officers at all levels, emphasised the fundamental contribution they make both on national soil and in international missions, in promoting the ideals of justice, peace and freedom.
During the video conference, the Army Commander took the opportunity to share the guidelines of his mandate, emphasising a key objective: the modernisation of the Army. General Masiello's vision focuses on building an armed force capable of effective deterrence, recognised nationally and internationally as credible and persuasive.
In order to achieve this goal, the General emphasised the importance of a modernisation process involving all structures, focusing on technological renewal that involves every aspect of training and operations. The objective is to strengthen the Army's identity through shared values and solid training, fundamental pillars to forge a winning and cohesive mentality.
General Masiello also emphasised the importance of working as one team, listening and responding to the needs of frontline personnel and remaining open to innovations that can improve the Army's efficiency and effectiveness. The shared vision is that of an Army that is increasingly integrated into the international context, proactive in seizing opportunities for innovation to better fulfil its mission.
Concluding his message, Army General Masiello expressed confidence in the future, emphasising the Army's commitment to remain equal to present and future challenges, thanks to the strength of its values and the dedication of its men and women.
